Day 365: Popped sequins

I'm glad that my last expression is in keeping with all of the others ie, sad and distant. I've spent the last two days in a tizzy trying to finish this blog on time. Now that I've gotten to the last post, I feel like taking my time. I don't expect this will be the last time I ever post on this blog, quite the contrary I intend to continue whenever I feel an outfit is worthy. However, this post is the end of the year long journey and I must say I'm sorry to see it go. A short review of the year: My first post in which the title of the blog became appropriate, my delving into bangs that only in remembrance is attractive, purple day, all of my siblings were featured on the blog at some point (usually barefoot), that one week where I posed with flags, I wore ugly clothes and didn't update for a week because of band camp, my thrifting buddy moved, first day of school, Ruben Studdard and I have a birthday, I go to school dances, I discuss my love of Mimi, I wear my favorite outfit, and now, I finish.
Sweater: My friend's basement. Her mom has an affection for purchasing halloween costumes that nobody will ever wear. When I found it in the basement of their house, they said it suited me and I've been saving it all year for today.
Blouse: Thrifted. This is the same blouse as in my favorite outfit but I washed it with a bunch of red stuff and now it's pink. Like buying a whole new blouse!
Skirt: Forever 21.
Headband: Scarlett's. Thrifting buddy <3
Tights: Express. Christmas was kind to my legs.
Shoes: Target.

Day 364: It's just not your year

I got my flu shot (that sounds like I had a beloved dog who was taken down by gunfire) today and so it was only natural I show up looking like I care about nothing. I wore my denim jacket to really amp up that effect.
Sweater/shorts: Forever 21.
Button down: H&M. The blog is ending soon. Hmmmm.
Tights: Betsey Johnson.
Socks: Urban Outfitters. I wore these just for that half inch to stick out. Worth it.
Shoes: Dr. Martens.

Day 363: Not to see ladies, study, fast, not sleep!

I saw Loves Labors Lost tonight and then found delicious quotes in my brand spanking new Complete Works of William Shakespeare. Lovin' life.
Dress: Gap. My "I'm Classy" dress.
Sweater: H&M. "BUT I'M STILL YOUNG" cardigan.
Tights: Express. "I mean business" leg wear.
Necklace: Target. "But I'm too poor for real pearls" pearls.
Shoes: Urban Outfitters. "I just want to be comfortable" loafers. And there you have it! The thought process of a sequin popper!

Day 362: You gotta go on and get move on

I miss guard. I haven't had rehearsal since the 8 hour camp. DEPRESSION.
Sweater: Forever 21. My brother's friend bought my this as a gift just for the hell of it? It was very sweet and surprising (most because we've never met or spoken). Also, it's a very good gift! It's a sweat shirt with foxes all over it, how charming!
Skirt: H&M. I saw New Year's Eve tonight with an old friend and it was surprisingly good! Lea Michele's singing was delightful and not as inexplicable as I expected.
Scarf: Home made. I did it myself.
Tights: Express. The highest quality tights I own. Thus I'll wear them for days on end.
Shoes: Urban Outfitters.

I'm glad the holiday season is passed. Now I can go back to important tasks like sleep and rereading the Hunger Games.*
Shirt: J. Crew. I spent an HOUR in Verizon getting my new phone (!) activated. I'm not gonna lie to you kind people, it was hell.
Sweater/skirt: Johannah's. She and my brother Jacob are in fucking FRANCE right now. FRANCE.

Leggings: Target.
Shoes/socks: Urban Outfitters.

Day 360: Tis the season to be jolly and joyous FA LA LA

Today is Christmas with my dad and getting to hang out with Laura. YAY. We saw War Horse. My love for WWI is almost embarrassing. Almost.
Jacket/shoes: Urban Outfitters. CHRISTMAS. I love this jacket more than anything else I own. I mean really. This is heaven. The pins on it are numerous and thus need no credits. Also, they're all from Johannah.
Sweater: H&M. Crop top in December. Great idea.
Purse: Forever 21.
Skirt: Gap.
Tights: Express. Another gift. These tights are textured and make me feel like an ADULT.

Day 357: Where the memories lie

Instead of doing a traditional outfit post I thought I'd just show you THIS. Today we (everyone in the picture) had an 8 hour guard rehearsal. It was crazy amounts of fun and included us all wearing "ugly" christmas sweaters and socks and basically just a lot of red and green with black leggings. If you look at the smiling faces on the floor you can see two of my friends wearing my sweaters. The trade off was they could borrow my sweaters if they put a bow in my hair and socks on my feet. If you're having trouble finding me, I don't know why you're on this blog.
This picture contains (Not in order): Sally, Ashlynn, Kalyn, Kaitlyn, Kelsey, Kate, Kara, Kristina, Kayla, Calle, Cori, Cassie (We like the K sound, what can I say), Olive, Mikayla, Aly, Alyssa, Emily, Meghan, Brittany, Maria, Lauren, and Caitrin (that's ME).

Day 356: I thought I'd just throw together a 4 minute rap that had a verse dedicated to each member of the family. Nbd

It's solstice celebration night! YAY. I gave everyone crowns that were created with them in mind. The gifts that were received are all too wonderful to be described with any skill on this here blog.
Dress/sweater: H&M. So um this post is basically done now...
Crown: Home made.
Belt: Thrifted.
Shoes: Target.

Sweater: Urban Outfitters. This is a common item. My guard director and I bonded over large sweater-love.
